Core Engineering · Platform · Any pillar
Gurugram
Strong foundations. Generalist by design. You're given the highest-leverage problem across the Shipsy platform — not slotted into one pillar on day one. What you ship runs against 5 billion+ shipments a year for enterprises in 30+ countries.
The best engineers aren’t slotted into a pillar on day one. They’re given the highest-impact problem on the platform and expected to work it with rigour. Generalist-first, specialist-later. That’s the model here.
Core engineering sits at the centre of the Shipsy flywheel. Forward Deployed Engineers prove patterns inside a customer. Product leaders frame the long-term bets. Your job is to turn those signals into platform — productising what deserves to be productised, and building new primitives where the platform is thin.
The pillars you could work on are: AgentFleet (the agent orchestration layer), AgentFlow (the workflow runtime), the TMS and WMS cores, the routing and optimisation engine, the integration fabric, and the data platform underneath all of it. Where you start depends on where you fit and where the leverage is — not on a slot we filled six months ago.
We’re not hiring a specialist in any single stack. We’re hiring an engineer with strong foundations who can be thrown at any part of the platform and be productive inside a fortnight.
You’re on the Core Platform team, based out of Gurugram. Your first rotation is assigned based on where you fit and where the highest-leverage problem is right now. After six months you can request a pillar move, or you can stay and go deep — your call.
You pair frequently with Forward Deployed Engineers. They see the customer pain first, you productise the fix. It’s a closed feedback loop, on purpose — the engineers who do this well become the ones who shape the next version of the platform.
You report to a Staff Engineer and have a skip-level with engineering leadership. No manager overhead. Progression is sharp: strong junior → Senior Software Engineer in 18–24 months → Staff Engineer with a pillar of your own, typically in 3–4 years. The ceiling is what you can hold, not what the title ladder allows.
Shipsy is the AI-native System of Action for logistics — the operating layer behind some of the largest enterprise supply chains on earth.
Where we are going. Enterprise logistics still runs on spreadsheets, ERPs from the 1990s, and tribal knowledge. We are replacing all of that with an AI-native operating layer — one where intelligent agents plan, dispatch, settle, and resolve at global scale. Logistics is a multi-trillion-dollar industry that has not yet had its software revolution. We are building it.
The scale today: - 275+ enterprise customers across 30+ countries - 5 billion+ shipments processed annually - 240+ carrier integrations - 7 global offices — Gurugram · Bengaluru · Dubai · Riyadh · Sydney · Amsterdam · Singapore - 300+ team members
Who we run: Aramex (65 countries, 18,000+ drivers, $27M annual savings delivered) · Heineken (2M+ trips across 70+ countries) · LATAM Cargo (Latin America’s largest airline group, $12B+ annual revenue) · Qatar Post (powers mail to 200+ countries) · Post Luxembourg (50%+ market share, $5M+/year savings) · Teleport (80% of Southeast Asia’s air-logistics network) · plus Australia Post, DPD, Smiths News, Apollo Pharmacy, argenx, Flipkart Minutes, Swiggy Instamart, and hundreds more.
Backed by $35M+ in venture capital from Peak XV Partners, A91 Partners, Info Edge, and others. Featured in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliant. 99.7% uptime SLA.
Trajectory. 50x revenue growth since 2020. Building toward $100M ARR and a public listing.
We are still a startup. Our real scale-up began in 2020 — and we have grown 50x since. Early enough that every senior hire shapes the next decade of the business. You are not joining a steady-state organisation with everything figured out. You will build the playbook, lead the work, and own the outcome — with the speed and agency of a startup and the scale of customers most startups never touch.
If you want to be the engineer whose code runs what a multi-billion-dollar logistics company actually depends on — not the engineer who ships a feature nobody uses — this is the role.
